MORITURIS

Heres my ACTUAL first entry on this website. This ones pretty good. I picked up the dvd from a certain local record store ( I get most of them there, now that I think about it). This one was banned in Italy because of similarities to a certain rape/murder case, but they got around it by just releasing it straight to dvd. I haven't done much research on the case, mainly because most of the sources are in Italian and I don't speak a lick of it, but i'ts a movie about rape ( for the first 50 or so minutes) and zombie (ghost???) gladiators, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took some inspiration from it or even partly based the movie off of it to be edgy.

Its relatively hard to find online, too. Only a couple movie pirating sites seem to have it. Probably because there isn't much of a demand for it, being that the theatrical ban probably affected it's popularity. It's definitely not the least known dvd in my collection, that honor either goes to The Thrill of A Kill or UnConventional, but I'd say its up there. . It's a great movie if youre not too sqeamish about all the rape, which you probably aren't if you're into horror. The zombie/ghost gladiators themselves don't do any of it, surprisingly enough. They just seem to be completely focused on killing people. I think this movie had a few metalheads on the team. They mention Bestial Warlust along with Vaginal Putrefaction and a couple other bands about 20 minutes in. A Cripple Bastards song plays around the 43 minute mark, and there some great black metal playing during the credits. Speaking of the credits, there some cool art during them. It's been a bit since I watched it and my memories a little hazy, so I'll definitely give it a rewatch soon.
